Before I start the post I'd like to say congratulations to all the same sex couples who got married at the weekend and all those who are planning their upcoming nuptials. It's fantastic that same sex marriage is now legal in Britain; we're one step closer to true equality for all.
Also, on a less exciting note, I'll no longer be doing my If I Were A Rich (Wo)Man wishlists. I'll still post about fashion and home products but I want to focus more on books and films.
Right, on to this week's affordable wedding's post. I'm continuing with the coloured wedding dresses and this week's it's red. Red is a great colour for a wedding dress; it's the colour of love and passion, plus it's bold, dramatic and really puts paid to any queries as to whether the bride is a virgin!
I've collected together some beautiful red gowns, inspired by Nicole Kidman's ruby dress in Moulin Rouge. They are all fantastic and all affordable, at under £350.

This amazing scarlet dress definitely has a Moulin Rouge feel about it and would be ideal as a stunning wedding dress. It sculpts the body, giving a flattering figure and finishing in a mermaid skirt.

This lovely backless dress is handmade by Etsy Seller Michalfilmar. It's a simple cut but the lace top and open back give it interest and a boho feel.
I love the lace overlay and the slight capped sleeves which look flattering on the arms. This would make a standout wedding dress that you could also wear afterwards.

This is another red dress with back detail. The simple but stunning gown from Mango is crafted from silk and features an open back with cross-over straps.
The back and the flowing silk material give this maxi dress a Grecian feel. It would swirl beautifully when you walk down the aisle.
